If we can see the waste we can eliminate it. Eight Wastes of the Mind Distracted – Not being present or focusing on the current task. Ruminating – repetitively going over a negative thought or a problem. Procrastinating -chronically avoiding difficult tasks and consistently looking for distractions. Cognitive distortion – Jumping to conclusions without having adequate supporting evidence. Overloaded – taking on too much information at once. Reacting – acting without stopping to think it through. Responding is the alternative to reacting. Responding consists of well processed thoughtful response you likely won't regret. Excess processing – overthinking. Premature demonstration – contributing ideas for review by others that haven’t been adequately vetted.
